Prop 65
California Prop 65 Warning
If you live in California, you’ve probably seen this warning before. It’s required under Proposition 65, a law that makes businesses include a notice if their products may contain even trace amounts of certain chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm.
Why is this on a supplement?
Some minerals and naturally occurring ingredients (like herbs or vitamins) can contain tiny amounts of metals—like lead—that are found in soil, water, or air. They’re not added to the formula; they’re just present in nature. California law requires a warning if those levels pass a very low threshold—even if the product is considered safe under federal guidelines.
Are Vivchews safe?
Yes. Every batch of Vivchews is third-party tested. We comply with federal and state regulations, and we stand by the safety of our products.
Still, California wants this warning posted:
WARNING: This product can expose you to chemicals including lead, which is known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm. For more information go to www.P65Warnings.ca.gov.
